Dry Pipe System, unlike wet pipe system, is a piping system which stored pressurized air such as Nitrogen. Air are connected to Dry Pipe Valve which control water flow.
If and only if a sprinkler activated, Dry Pipe Vavle opened to allow water flow through open sprinklers onto fire. Mostly used in freezing areas.
Deluge system connected to water supply system through Deluge Valve which will only opened when heat or smoke detection system activated.
Detection system will be install in closed area with the sprinklers. When detection system is activated, water will be discharged throgh all Deluge sprinklers head in the system.
Commonly used in high hazard area like power plant, aircraft hangar, chemical processing or storage area.
Preaction System is similar to Dry Pipe System, which water is not in the piping system and controlled by a electrically operated valve, pre action valve.
